Mopria Scan is an app that offers a convenient way for you to scan documents from your scanner or multi-function printer (MFP) directly to your Android mobile device. This saves you the hassle of installing apps for every scanner you use and facilitates easy access to your scanned pages for viewing on your Android device.
So let’s cover the “what” and “how” of mobile scan.
What can I scan?
The list is endless on what you can scan to your Android device! For work, important documents, receipts, notes, and anything requiring a signature. For home, photos, recipes, kids’ artwork (the grandparents love this!), and homework assignments.
How does mobile scan work?
You can use Mopria Scan two different ways:
1. Scanning from your app using Mopria Scan: Open the app you want to scan to and look for the scan option, button, or icon. This scan function is often found under the attach option in the app’s menu.
2. Scanning from the Mopria Scan app: Simply tap on the Scan application icon from your home screen or app drawer to start the application. You can pick where to send the scanned pages after the scan is complete.
